Commercial shoot by Benjamin Balayre

From interview to company film

Corporate video covers very different formats: an executive interview, a film presenting an offering, coverage of a keynote, a team portrait. They don't share the same length, setup or cost.

Among other work, I filmed an interview with French MP Denis Bernaert at the National Assembly and produced the company film for the startup Alki. Two unrelated contexts: in one, a constrained institutional venue you adapt to; in the other, a setup built from scratch.

Editorial scoping before technique

Most corporate videos fail before the shoot: the message was never settled, and the film tries to say everything at once. A two-minute film carries one idea.

So the first conversation is as much about defining the message and the audience as about technique. What follows from it (duration, number of speakers, number of shooting days) is then set out explicitly in the quote, along with price and timelines.

Studio and location alike

I produced and directed a studio talk show with a multi-camera setup, which means handling several simultaneous sources and a heavy edit, and I work just as readily in real conditions, at your offices or on site.

Aerial drone footage is available as an add-on, particularly to establish an industrial site, a campus or premises, subject to the regulations applying to the location.

Frequently asked questions

Do you work with startups and small organisations?

Yes. The company film for the startup Alki is one example. The setup adapts to the budget: a short, well-scoped format is often more effective than a long film made on stretched means.

Do you provide photos as well, or only video?

Both. On a corporate shoot, photo coverage usually runs alongside the video, which avoids taking up your team's time twice.

Do you work in English?

Yes, both the discussions and the shoot itself can be conducted in French or English.
