How to read these projects
Context before images
Each page starts with the situation: who, where, under what constraint. A regatta is filmed from a moving boat, a documentary is shot over eight months, an interview at the French National Assembly runs on an MP's schedule. Context explains the choices better than a gallery ever could.
The constraint, and what it forces
Constraints are the job: impossible light, counted shooting time, a subject who is not an actor, a location where the drone cannot fly. Each project states which one came up and how it was solved, including when the answer was to give up a shot.
The result, as it was delivered
The film and the images published on these pages are the ones delivered to the client, not a selection re-edited for the website. You see what you would receive, not a showcase.
Frequently asked questions
My project looks nothing like these, is that a problem?
No. These case studies are detailed because they had an interesting constraint to tell, not because they represent the bulk of my work. The video portfolio gives a far broader view, with more than thirty films covering travel, aftermovies, corporate, interviews and live coverage.
Are the images on these pages edited?
Yes, like everything I deliver. Every photograph published on this site went through the same treatment as the ones handed to the client, and the films are edited and colour graded. Nothing is shown as raw footage.
Will my images be published on the site?
Only if you agree to it. Publishing a project is discussed when the quote is drawn up and is never automatic: many shoots, corporate and wedding work in particular, stay private at the client's request.
