On weddings I usually work with a second photographer-videographer: between the two of us we cover more of the day, and the stills and the film keep a single visual direction. Photo and video, without having to choose

Most couples start out choosing between a photographer and a videographer, then realise they want both: the photos for the walls and the album, the film to hear the voices, the music and the mood of the day again.

Taking on both means they can be planned together. Photo and video framing are anticipated at the same time, key moments are scouted once rather than twice, and the film's colour grading answers to that of the photos: two deliverables that speak to each other, from a single eye.

Two photographer-videographers, if that's what you want

On weddings I usually work with a second photographer-videographer, someone who knows how I shoot and frame. That's what makes it possible to cover a day happening in several places at once: the preparations on both sides, the guests' reaction as you walk in, the room during the speeches, the couple portraits without the party having to stop.

It isn't compulsory though. I adapt to what you want: some days call for two people, others are better covered solo, with one camera and one presence in the room. We discuss it when scoping the project, and the quote reflects exactly what you choose.

A discreet presence, from morning to the last song

A wedding doesn't get a second take. My job is to be in the right place before a moment happens, without ever staging or interrupting it: the preparations, the entrance, the looks exchanged during the speeches, the dance floor at the end of the night.

In practice that means little direction and a lot of observation. Posed portraits have their place, but they take up a fraction of the day: everything else is captured as it unfolds, including the moments you won't witness yourself because you'll be somewhere else.

Drone footage, when the venue allows

Aerial footage is available as an add-on, and it makes a real difference at an estate, a château or an outdoor wedding: it establishes the location, opens the film and gives scale to the wide shots.

Whether it's possible depends on the regulations applying to the venue: some areas are restricted or require authorisation. I check this in advance, while scoping the project, so the question is settled well before the day itself.

Frequently asked questions

Do you travel outside the Paris region?

Yes. I'm based in Île-de-France and travel anywhere in France, as well as abroad. Travel costs are stated explicitly in the quote, so there's no supplement discovered after the fact.

How far in advance should I book?

As early as possible: a wedding date can only be honoured once, and Saturdays in peak season go first. Get in touch even if your date isn't finalised: I'll tell you within 48 hours whether I'm available.

Are you on your own on the wedding day?

Usually not: I regularly work with a second photographer-videographer on weddings, which makes it possible to cover several places at once without missing anything. It isn't a rule though: if you'd rather have a lighter presence, the day works perfectly well covered solo. We decide together when scoping the project, and the quote prices whichever option you choose.

Can I book photo only, or video only?

Yes, the two can be booked separately. That said, taking both together costs less than ordering them separately, and the photos and the film then share the same visual direction.

Who owns the photos and the film?

You receive your images for personal use, with no time limit. Usage terms, including what I may or may not publish from your wedding, are set out explicitly in the quote: nothing is shared without your agreement.
